The President of the Algerian Academy of Science and Technology (AAST), Professor Malika Allab, was received on Monday December 12, 2022 by the President of the People’s National Assembly (APN), Brahim Boughali. The audience focused on ways and means of strengthening coordination between the APN and AAST, in particular regarding the enrichment by its members of various bills during their examination by the permanent commissions. An agreement will be established between the two parties
Mr. Boughali indicated that “the doors of the APN will always remain open to members of the Academy”, pointing out in this context “its vital and active role, particularly in view of the new changes Algeria is undergoing under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who grants particular interest to science, knowledge and leading edge technologies as the locomotive of development to which our country aspires”. In this context, he called on AAST members to organize activities at the Assembly’s headquarters to help improve parliamentary performance.

For their part, the members of the Academy hailed “the openness initiative sponsored by the President of the Republic for the sake of innovators and researchers who are in a position to make valuable contributions to boosting the performance of the national economy and raising the level of higher education”, expressing their openness to providing technical advice in this area.
