The AMASA 2024 Conference and NASAC General Assembly Meeting will be hosted by the Algerian Academy of Science and Technology (AAST) at the International Conference Center (ICC) https://www.cic-alger.com/ in Algiers, Algeria, from November 26 to 28, 2024.
The conference theme will be ”Resources, science and technology for development in Africa” and will focus on 3 sub-themes:
- Ensuring one health in Africa: mathematical, numerical and biotechnological approaches.
- Natural hazards and their impact on the environment and health in Africa.
- Mobilizing skills and pooling scientific and technological resources in Africa.
AMASA 2024 https://nasaconline.org/event/annual-meeting-of-african-science-academies-amasa-2024/ will be an opportunity to discuss the development of science and its applications in social, economic and industrial spheres in Africa. However, particular attention will be paid to the challenges encountered when applying science in various aspects of African societies for harmonious and sustainable development. All of the conference sessions will strive to enable delegates and experts to participate by making thematic presentations and taking part in plenary panels.

If you would like to submit a paper for the consideration of the scientific committee, either to provide a lecture or to present a poster, please complete the AMASA 2024 call for communications https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1j9gGkJI-5vvJt8iyUJvOm9pFPZheEzi1CWbv2r4fT4k/viewform?edit_requested= true by June 20, 2024. Please be aware that selected applicants will be contacted with further instructions on the next steps.
Please be aware that neither registration nor submission of papers guarantees your participation in AMASA 2024. Once the selection process has been completed, we will reply with a decision from the scientific committee regarding your participation by July 5, 2024. Due to limited and partial resources, we strongly encourage you to secure your own funding for your trip to Algiers. AAST has generously offered to pay local hosting costs for this event.
