The Algerian Academy of Science and Technology (AAST) signed a scientific and technical cooperation framework agreement with the Algerian Geological Surveys Agency (ASGA) on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the Academy’s headquarters in Algiers. The agreement was signed by AAST General Secretary Rabah Latrache Bouteldja and ASGA Executive Committee President Karima Bakir-Tafer. In this vein, the AAST General Secretary affirmed that the Academy “will devote all its scientific and technical resources to the service of this agency”, adding that the signing of this agreement was designed to “strengthen cooperation” between the two parties. For her part, Ms Bakir emphasized the importance of this agreement, which will enable “the promotion of research, mainly in the field of earth sciences, through the strengthening of innovation and technology transfer, as well as participation in scientific research programs and projects, in addition to the organization of scientific seminars and symposia.
