Azzedine BOUSSEKSOU is Exceptional Class Research Director at the CNRS, France. He is the Director of the CNRS Coordination Chemistry Laboratory, Toulouse, France (~300 members, 15 scientific teams and 18 scientific platforms), and Leader of the “Switchable Molecular Materials” scientific Team at the LCC-CNRS, Toulouse (~20 members).
He was the director of the national French network of molecular magnetism and switchable Materials (32 laboratories) and Co-coordinator of the French-Japan Laboratory on multifunctional Molecular Materials (22 laboratories). He was also the coordinator of the European COST Network on Spin Crossover phenomenon and member of the CNRS National Committee for the research evaluation (2000-2004 and 2011-2015).
He is member of the French Academy of Sciences, member of the European Academy of Sciences, member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and Founding member of the Algerian Academy of Science and Technology. Azzedine BOUSSEKSOU was awarded the Prize of the French Society of Chemistry (coordination Chemistry division, 2003), the Langevin Prize of the French Academy of Sciences (2009), the prestigious Silver Medal of the CNRS (2010), the DGRSDT Algerian research distinction (2011), the Chemistry research Prize (Prix la Recherche, 2011), the Korean Magnetism society Prize (2012), the Montpellier University Medal (2014) and the ‘‘Grand Prix’’ Süe of the French Society of Chemistry 2020.
He published over 300 articles in refereed journals (including 10 invited reviews, 24 VIP/Hot/Editor-selected articles and 14 cover articles), 4 book chapters, 14 patents, with an h index over 68.
