The Academy sets itself general missions aimed at promoting science and technology, supporting their impact on society, and contributing to the achievement of the objectives and orientations of national development.Within the framework of its missions, it acts either on the basis of referrals from the relevant bodies or on its own initiative, where necessary. In particular, it is in charge of :
The expertise,the consulation and advisory services for government institutions and public and private organizations;
The contribution to the dynamic progress of science and technology and to promote their teaching and application;
The contribution to the dissemination and vulgarization of scientific and technical culture by promoting science and technology in society through appropriate media;
The contribution to the promotion of scientific and technological activities and to support the production of knowledge , in particular by awarding prizes and distinctions;
The initiation and the support of national and international collaboration and exchanges between scientific and technological research bodies.
